Wood Harris - Wood Harris, born Sherwin David Harris, is an African-American actor currently starring in the television drama The Wire. He was born on October 17, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Mattie Harris, and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Theater Arts from Northern Illinois University (NIU) and a Masters of Arts from New York University.
